From 2007 – 2014, Joy presented the very successful workshop “The Project Management Way” to over 350 mid-level managers from Fairfax County, VA. She currently teaches project management on-line for Northeastern University and conducts career transition/outplacement coaching for Lee Hecht Harrison.
Joy has coached emerging leaders for Leadership Arlington and Leadership Fairfax. She coached women who lost their jobs through a grant from the United Way and has coached numerous personal clients since 2014. Joy has also coached executives at a non-profit organization.
Recently, Joy and Jeff delivered workshops on Project and Performance Management to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Headquarters Library Division. These included Alumni workshops six months later to reinforce the learning.
Joy has developed and facilitated training (Six Sigma, Green Project Management, Agile) and performance management solutions for Navy Federal Credit Union, the City of Alexandria, Learning Tree International and other clients in industry (transportation, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing, and IT).

Joy spent 15 years working for the Xerox Corporation serving in a variety of positions in operations, training, and Human Resources. She participated in Xerox’s training ramp up to receiving the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. She also contributed to Xerox’s business development of Quality Partnerships with the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs and Commerce in Washington, D.C.
Joy holds an M.A. in Human Resource Development, is a certified coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation, a Project Management Professional (PMP), and a certified Change Management Practitioner (CMP) with APMG International.
